I use NZ lanolin on my skin and hair as it is human bio identical and absorbed right in. So hypoallergenic. As a teenager I worked casually in pharmacy when ointments were made by using a mortar and pestle, pills, anhydrous lanolin and whatever e.g. rosewater… I will consider using it as a base and perhaps adding a little hydrosol and then the rest of the e.oils. maybe a little carrier oil too to make the consistency.
