Reply To: EO for food poisoning?

One of the best and most powerful essential oils that can kill bacteria in the stomach is Oregano oil. The recommended dose is 1 drop twice a day, in regular intervals. Be careful because it’s very potent and could cause irritation and other side effects if you take too much. And always dilute it with milk, honey or another vegetable oil. It contains carvacrol and thymol that act as antimicrobials and antibiotics.

If you find encapsulated oregano oil (CO2 extract), the dose is 500mg, 4 times a day. For nausea and vomiting you can use Ginger EO -max 1 diluted drop (or tea, powder etc.) and drink an electrolyte drink if you find (sports drink) to replenish the electrolytes you’ve lost from dehydration. Be careful not to overuse these essential oils because they’re very strong (Oregano and Ginger).
